SECTION II: The visible church, which is also catholic or universal under the gospel (not confined to one nation, as before under the law), consists of all those throughout the world that profess the true religion; [2] and of their children: [3] and is the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ, [4] the house and family of God,[5] out of which there is no ordinary possibility of salvation
SECTION III: Unto this catholic visible church Christ hath given the ministry, oracles, and ordinances of God, for the gathering and perfecting of the saints, in this life, to the end of the world: and doth, by his own presence and Spirit, according to his promise, make them effectual thereunto
These sections teach that there is also a catholic or universal visible Church, consisting of those of every nation who profess the true religion, together with their children.
The universal visible Church is therefore not a different Church from that which has just been described as invisible.
Each one of these distinct organized communities which is faithful to the great King is an integral part of the visible Church; and all together, of all names and nations, constitute the catholic or universal visible Church.
